1st Balkan Clean Energy Transition Conference (19 – 22 September 2019, Kozani, Greece)
The 1st Balkan Clean Energy Transition Conference is a four-day important international event (19 – 22 September) that will take place in Kozani, Greece, covering Clean Energy topics such as renewables, energy efficiency, smart cities, circular economy, mobility, governance and citizen engagement, all of them leading the Balkan area throughout the coal transition (https://balkancleanenergytransition.eu/agenda/).
The international conference and fair will be enhanced by interactive sessions of knowledge exchange to inspire attendees in current and future Clean Energy initiatives, showcasing new technological solutions that will make Balkans cleaner and greener, smarter and safer. It will serve as the institutional initiative for the Balkan area to start preparing for a transition to the post coal era.
Professor Antonis Metaxas, Chairman of the Hellenic Energy Regulation Institute (HERI), has been invited to hold a key note speech on the prospects of the renewable energy market and the challenges of the energy transition in Europe.
The event will be held under the auspices of the Hellenic Energy Regulation Institute (HERI), the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), with the support of the EU Smart Cities Information System (SCIS) and the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC).
