Official presentation of a leading scientific publication on European Energy Networks organized by the Hellenic Energy Regulation Institute

A new international publication on the legal, regulatory and geopolitical aspects that determine the future of energy networks in Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean will be presented to the Greek public in Athens on March the 7th. This specialized scientific publication with contributions by distinguished Greek and foreign academics and executives, presents a comprehensive framework of the major issues that define the regulatory and geopolitical challenges of energy networks in the EU and the Eastern Mediterranean and has already received significant positive reviews in some of the most well-respected European scientific journals.

 

The publication titled “Transformation of EU and Eastern Mediterranean Energy Networks – Legal, Regulatory and Geopolitical Challenges” is part of the scientific series “European Energy Studies” by the esteemed international publishing house Claeys & Casteels and will be presented to the Greek public by prominent members of the Greek energy sector.

 

The book is edited by two internationally distinguished academics specialized in the European energy sector, Dr. Leigh Hancher, Professor at Tilburg University & Florence School of Regulation, and Dr. Antonis Metaxas, Professor at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens & Visiting Professor in the renowned Masters program in European and International Energy Law of the TU Berlin. Authors include Prof. Dr. Jochen Mohr from the University of Leipzig, Prof. Dr. Antonis Metaxas, Sofia Michelaki from the Greek National Natural Gas System Operator, Michalis Mathioulakis from the Hellenic Energy Regulation Institute, Dr. Fotini Bellou, Professor at the University of Macedonia, Alexia Trokoudi, Legal Advisor of Hellenic Petroleum, Marios Andrikopoulos, Legal Advisor of Elpedison S.A, Georgia Patsaroucha, Junior Legal Advisor (ENTSO-E) etc.
